Celebrating Our Leaders
Two of our distinguished providers play key roles within the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society:
- Dr. Vincent Battista serves as president of the society, guiding the organization’s mission to elevate orthopedic care throughout the state.
- Dr. Kathryne Stabile, as the education committee chair, curated the Scientific Program for the Annual Meeting, including research findings, dynamic symposia, and updates across subspecialties.

Our team made impactful contributions at this year’s event, showcasing their expertise in a variety of ways:
- Dr. Thomas Sherman moderated the foot and ankle symposium, facilitating discussions on innovative treatments and surgical techniques.
- Dr. Alexandria Starks served as a panelist in the shoulder symposium, sharing her insights on shoulder care.
- Dr. Gregory Tocks, one of our total joint surgeons, moderated an outpatient total joint symposium, where our CEO Bill Weik spoke, as well as one of our anesthesiologists, Dr. Jonathan Shirey, providing valuable perspectives on this transformative area of orthopedic care.
- Additionally, one of our physician assistants, Eric Zimmerman, presented on the value of orthopedic urgent cares, sharing our expertise on the emerging changes in orthopedic practices.
