North Pointe Surgery Center Gains The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval

North Pointe Surgery Center has achieved The Gold Seal of Approval accreditation through The Joint Commission. This recognizes that the facility and staff are leaders in quality care and patient safety. Located at 170 N. Health care organization’s seeking The Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission undergo an extensive, unannounced survey and on-site review for quality and safety according to rigorous, nationally developed standards. The accreditation serves as a commendation of North Pointe Surgery Center’s ongoing commitment to advance safety, quality, equity and compassion for all patients. The North Pointe Surgery Center team also served as the first in the region to offer total joint replacement surgery at an outpatient surgery center.

The standards of The Joint Commission are crafted in collaboration with health care professionals, providers, measurement experts and patients. These standards draw upon scientific literature and expert consensus to aid health care organizations in evaluating, measuring and enhancing their performance. Additionally, surveyors perform on-site observations and interviews to further inform the assessment process.
