Cheers to 50 Years!

This year marks Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster’s (OAL) 50th anniversary! We invite community members to celebrate our history and the progress we’ve achieved while advancing the future of local Orthopedic care. 

Since 1972, OAL has grown alongside our community - serving patients and families with high-quality, safe, and compassionate care as patients’ needs have evolved. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve as our community’s trusted orthopedic practice - providing exceptional care and service to patients and families we’ve known for many years and those who may be new to our area. 

While much has changed in 50 years, our mission to provide quality care to every patient has only grown stronger. OAL delivers an exceptional patient experience backed by decades of trusted Orthopedic care. Our dedicated teams of physicians, clinical staff, and over 380 employees serve our patients in four convenient locations, two walk-in Orthopedic Urgent Care locations, and numerous other therapy and specialty care settings across Lancaster and Lebanon counties. 

We are excited to announce that OAL will be opening a fifth location in Ephrata in late 2022! Expanding our dedication to meeting local Orthopedic needs and returning patients to an active lifestyle as quickly and safely. OAL will continue to build on our established reputation for excellence to improve outcomes and enhance patient experience as we grow and expand. 

On July 9, 2022, Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster will celebrate 50 years of service to the patients and families who have trusted their health, lives, and futures to our care. OAL also recognizes the founders—Dr. John Shertzer and Dr. Alfred Cooke —and all those who have served at Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster, past, present, and future. Thank you for your service as part of the premier local provider of Orthopedic care for these 50 years.
